This product grew from a vision to improve the lives of women with gynecologic cancer. The SynAPPtic Oncology application was designed with health care providers, patients and families in mind. In an era filled with rapidly evolving cancer treatment paradigms, it is becoming increasingly difficult to identify reliable information in a user friendly format.
This application provides information regarding appropriate disease related chemotherapeutic regimens, but also provides appropriate links to clinical trials informing management decisions. Furthermore, it introduces new therapies, developed and approved for patients with gynecologic cancers. The application also contains recommended dosing and treatment algorithms, as well as calculators to assist in the clinical care of patients. Notably, this application contains tools directed at identification and management of treatment-related toxicities. As novel therapeutics are approved more rapidly, understanding common adverse events and their management is exceedingly important. In an effort to optimize patient care and improve safety, this application contains relevant toxicity data, and incorporates recommendations regarding dose delay and dose reductions as well as drug discontinuation.
Finally, identification of appropriate clinical trials is an increasingly complex process. SynAPPtic Oncology has transformed this paradigm by developing a proprietary clinical trial matching algorithm that will permit both patients and clinical providers to rapidly filter through accessible trials, identifying potential options...ultimately advancing the science and improving our patients' lives is dependent on the discovery of novel, effective treatment strategies.

We've Come a Long Way
As a tech-savvy trio of practicing cancer physicians, it became clear to us that a comprehensive resource was required to support providers and patients in their quest for excellent clinical care. Despite a plethora of online resources, none were robust, contemporary and user friendly. Our desire, from inception, was to develop a platform that would promote guideline concordant care by providing users with the most up to date state-of-the-science content. Furthermore, lack of enrollment on clinical trials continues to be a significant barrier to adult cancer care. As such, we looked to develop an application that would include a clinical trial matching component, facilitating the identification of clinical trials for eligible patients.
The product of the above vision is the SynAPPtic Oncology app, and we are thrilled to share this with you!
